Their website says that the XTreamer Prodigy should do this but I fail to find any reference to it in their manual and also not sure if it works out of the box OR if you have do do it through an Android Ap - in which case given that they only seem to support Android 2.2. Will that stop working soon? Has anyone ever tried this / any feedback / thoughts/ suggestions? The box uses a MIPS based platform which has a port of the old Android 2.2 OS, not only is this out of date but MIPS causes all sorts of compatibility problems with Android apps that can run on 2.2 as MIPS never officially became part of Android until later on. I'd be highly sceptical if Loveflim or Netflix work on that at all.
Android typically runs on Arm based platforms, there are a bunch of AndroidTV devices, these are Arm based boxes that run Android 4.x, the best one to get at the moment is the Pivos XIOS DS which you can & forums. It's recommended to run this of Netflix and not the one on the Google market. The Xios runs Android 4 and also supports XBMC under Android which handles media playback. It's very much a work in progress though. Yes and no, as it's a work in progress. No in that the current build of XBMC running on the XIOS does not support hardware acceleration on DVD ISO/VIDEO_TS or DVD menus.
Yes in that the XBMC devs recently got DVD/ISO/VIDEO_TS hardware decoding working on Arm platforms so that will likely make it's way to the build running on the XIOS in due course. The XIOS will play mpg video and DVD's ripped via MakeMKV or VOB2MPG. If you can live without Loveflim, the WDTV Live has Netflix built in and will play DVD ISO/VIDEO_TS with menus.

It is also not a bug. It is a lack of support of RTL SDK to certain chroma sub sampling HDMI procedures applied by some TV vendors. As you probably noticed, many prodigy users don't have this problem at all, and that is rooted to the function their TV have. Chroma Sub sampling can be dealt on the TV or the Device. As too many users suffer from it, we decided to add this function to our device, regardless of the TV model you have. We wish this issue was never coming up to start with. But now, as the device was launched and is relatively new, we are all learning.
