I can use the camera in other applications like Skype and Photo Booth (provided that I open Photo Booth first. But everytime that I try to open FaceTime, the camera instantly freezes. Unfortunately, I have received one of the Hp ProBooks that do not have a serial number under USB in About This Mac-System Information. No known fixes for use of camera. But my question is: Is it possible for me to get and swap in a model camera type from the HP ProBooks that DO work? Thanks again MM!

I'll give you an update on where I am at the moment. I keep getting stuck at Missing Bluetooth controller after I run PBI. Starting to really frustrate me now.

I'm selecting UEFI install, 4540s support kexts, 4540s config and dsdt patches, ssdt generator, and color profiles. Then all that I add to the config is my iMessage values and reboot. The only new thing that I've done is to install the new Wifi/BT card (Broadcom BCM94352HMB) So I'm thinking it has something to do with that. Also, I responded to you this morning, not sure if u got it (the pic of my ProBook camera) because if I look at the thread on my PC, I can see that response to you, but if I look on my phone, that comment is not there. Anyways, I'm back at work now so I will try those kexts you sent me when I get home and straighten out this issue.

Sorry for the long delay pal. Long day at work etc. So when I got home, I decided to reinstall again. I'm not too sure of what I did differently other than installing all PBI related files manually. (Built my own config, installed kexts with kext utility rather than PBI, and copying my acpi files that were patched from my first successful install on this machine. When I rebooted, audio still did not work. So I ran PBI this time, selected don't create a config file (though post PBI, I discovered that it DID create a bare bones config that I had to rebuild so maybe that was the problem) and re-patched dsdt and ssdt.

I crossed my fingers when I rebooted and thankfully it did. Microsoft visio portable download. So now everything is good.

Graphics, Audio, power management, battery status, wifi/BT, iMessage and FaceTime sign in no problem (but the camera does not work still. I'm going to replace the screen with a 1080p screen and I'll look into a camera module as well) So besides double checking fast boot, I'm going to close this thread for now until I get the new screen and I thank you again for your help.
