After a bit of reasearch the 520 seemed like the best choice especially with the price reduction. Set up was straight forward, set up on Wifi, have your mobile phone handy with the my drive app installed and it walks you through the whole process. Altough I do drive a van which is probably more noisy inside than your average car. The fact it reads text messages aloud is very usefull. I haven't tried the hands free funcion yet.
The main drawback was the update, of which it suggested 3 on firstt startup, software, Europe maps and speed cameras. All very important, but WARNING do not do the updates if you need to use the unit in a hurry. Even with a quality wifi signal my updates took 14 HOURS to complete. Hopefully the updates are not too frequent.

The fact that it comes with up lifetime world maps is a huge benefit. I have had it now for just over two months and have used it in Australia, Borneo, Hong Kong and in Europe without any stress except the other day when it refused to find the destination I wanted. A reboot sorted that out. Sadly it has now gone up in price so it is not quite as cost effective as it was but in my opinion it is still a cracking product. If I do manage to get it to charge it will then disconnect with any movement of the cable (if it's plugged in while driving) meaning it will want to switch off - very frustrating when you're in heavy traffic and need to keep two hands on the wheel, not faffing around with a cable trying to keep it swicthed on!
