Koq HP saia ga bisa ya. Terpaksa untuk sementara waktu HP nya jadi modem dengan bantuan. Untuk yang WinXP, sempat berbinar-binar waktu dapat. Tapi setelah dicoba.

Setelah diubek-ubek, untuk yang WinXP, ternyata butuh update ke SP3. Baru nyadar kalau PC kantor masih SP2. Saya sendiri ambil WinXP SP3 dari file sharing bagian IT. Begitu update ke XP SP3, yippi.

Tetheringnya langsung jalan. Ga pakai milih dan setting APN/operator dan lain-lain. Ga perlu file juga. Terinspirasi update XP SP3, maka netbook di rumah yang masih Win7 tanpa embel-embel, langsung diupgrage ke Win7 SP1. Dan hasilnya. Masih ga bisa. Terpaksa googling lagi.

Dan akhirnya malam ini ketemu jawabannya. Ternyata bisa pakai driver dari Microsoft Corporation, yang memang sudah ada di Win7, tapi mesti dipilih manual:hammer: Langkahnya: 1.

Masuk ke Device Manager, klik kanan di RNDIS dan pilih update driver. Pilih “Browse my computer for driver software” 3. Pilih “Let me pick from a list of deice drivers on my computer” 4. Pilih “Network Adapter” 5. Tunggu beberapa saat sampai komputer selesai membuat list driver yang ada.

Di bagian “Manufacturer” (kolom sebelah kiri), pilih “Microsoft Corporation” (yang pakai embel-embel “Corporation” ya) 7. Di bagian “Network Adapter” (kolom sebelah kanan), pilih “Remote NDIS based Internet Sharing Device” 8.

Jadi intinya: Untuk Windows XP => Update saja ke Service Pack 3 Untuk Windows 7 => Pastikan minimal 7 Service Pack 1, lalu pakai driver dari Microsoft Corporation sesuai langkah di atas Update 19 Feb 2014: Tadi coba install di PC teman ber-Win7 tanpa SP1. Walaupun ada installer RNDIS sesuai langkah-langkah di atas, tapi tetap tidak bisa. Setelah install SP1, baru RNDIS nya bekerja baik. Note: Kalau masih ga bisa juga, cek di Device Manager, pastiin driver HP nya sudah ter-install.
